Vision

To preserve, professionalize, and empower India’s rich tradition of Aari embroidery by building a national and international platform that uplifts the lives of Aari workers, especially women and rural artisans, through education, employment, entrepreneurship, and equality.

To recognize Aari work as a professional art form and ensure its workers are respected, skilled, and financially independent.

To train and certify Aari artisans through accessible, practical, and innovative courses.

To unite Aari workers across India under one strong, supportive, and policy-driven federation.

A. Education & Training Policy

  • Visual, practical, and oral learning
  • Mother tongue instruction
  • Entrepreneurship and business basics
  • Rural-friendly and stress-free modules
  • Creation of teacher and student manuals for nationwide rollout.
  • Establishment of training centres in every district in India.

B. Certification & Recognition

  • National certification through IAWF with plans to get Government of India recognition.
  • Promotion of certified artisans to industry buyers, fashion houses, and global designers.
  • Lifetime membership for trained artisans with job/work referral networks.

C. Employment & Income Generation

  • Link Aari workers with fashion industries, boutiques, wedding designers, and exports.
  • Launch of IAWF Artisan e-Marketplace for direct sales.
  • Encouraging formation of SHGs (Self-Help Groups) and Women-led enterprises.
  • Government tie-ups for subsidies, raw materials, and machinery grants.

D. National Unity & Representation

  • Organizing state-level and national conferences to build artisan pride and unity.
  • Annual International Aari Workers Conference with global exposure.
  • Lobbying for inclusion of Aari art under MSME, handicrafts, and women welfare schemes.

E. Cultural Revival & Heritage Promotion

  • Documenting and promoting regional Aari styles – Tamil, Kashmiri, Lucknowi, Hyderabad, etc.
  • Creating Aari Museums, art galleries, and video documentaries.
  • Celebrating National Aari Workers Day annually.

Long-Term Goals

  • Recognition of Aari Work under UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
  • Create 100,000 certified Aari artisans by 2030.
  • Export Indian Aari products to 50+ countries.
  • Launch IAWF Academy, a national institute for Aari arts.
